Ever since he was a young boy, Jim loved to draw. Throughout his childhood, Jim was known by his peers as the quiet kid who spent his hours doodling, paying no mind to much else.
Jim's fascination with fantasy fiction and monster magazines led him to discover the paintings of famed cover artist, Frank Frazetta. After reading "The Fantastic Art of Frank Frazetta" (1975) countless times, "something truly magical had taken place," and Jim put down his favourite drawing tool, a BIC ballpoint pen, and took up a paintbrush. Ever since, painting became his calm.
From the depths of his own unique imagination, through painting, Jim escapes his ordinary world and dives into one of fantasy, monsters, heroes, and limitless possibilities.
